Export Promotion Industrial Park
An export promotion industrial park, second in the state has been setup in the Boranada industrial area, which is in accordance with the scheme of ministry of commerce, Govt. of India, which lays emphasis on providing assistance to state govts. for establishments of such kind of parks.
EPIP is proposed to be develop on 207 acres of land within a period of 18 months. Administrative sanction amounting to Rs. 2285.68 lacs has been issued by the management and work related to development of infrastructural facilities has been started. The rate at EPIP has been fixed at Rs. 300/- per sq.mtr. with a 20% rebate on first 20% sellable area i.e. upto 21.96 acres of land. A total of 265 plots have been planned ranging from 500 sq.m. to 4000 sq.mtrs. Out of these 248 nos. of plots have been allotted upto 31-03-2008.
The establishment of this park will lead to :
1. Plots will be allotted to those industrialist who will be able to export 33% of the total production.
2. Allottment of land with all technical facilities at a comparative price.
3. This park will help in the increase of exports from the state, specially from Jodhpur, where presently around 600 to 700 crores of export
is being done. The increase is expected upto 1600.00 crores in the next five years.
Special Economic Zone (S.E.Z.)
Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are specifically delineated duty free enclaves treated as a foreign territory for the purpose of industrial, service and trade operations, with exemptions from customs duties and a more liberal regime in respect of other levies, foreign investment and other transactions. Domestic regulations, restrictions and infrastructure inadequacies are sought to be eliminated in the SEZs for creating a hassle-free environment. The SEZ Scheme seeks to create a transparent system by introducing simplified procedures for enhancing productivity and making it easier to do business.
Concessions and incentives provided by Central Government to units established in SEZ
Stainless Steels Utensils Park / Zone
For the setup of stainless steel utensil
industries a special industrial area can be developed in the district. Around
110 stainless steel re-rolling units are established which produce more than
20,000 MT of S.S. Sheets but the production capacity of stainless steel utensils
using this sheets is 1000 MT per month only, which is quite low. The remaining
sheets are sent to Mumbai, Chennai etc. from where the utensils are manufactured
and sent throughout India as well as other foreign countries, this leads to
increase in cost of transportation. With the establishment of this industry
in Jodhpur, the S.S. Sheets will easily utilised here and simultaneously the
utensils can be send to various parts of the country and foreign counties as
well.
In this context, the various industries
associations of this region believe that as the Basni Industrial Area is a cluster
of S.S. Sheets producing units and if the road connecting Basni & Boranada
IInd. area is converted into a pucca road then it would easily be possible to
setup around 100 units in Boranada.
Agro Food Park, Boranada
At Boranada an Industrial Area is setup and developed for Agro based Industrial unit. About 188 plots is planned in 193.54 acres of land. Special Concession in Agro Food Park are as follows
Stone Park
The first stone park of the state has been setup at Jodhpur. The stone park is situated at main NH-65 Jodhpur - Nagaur road. Total 77 Nos. plots have been planned having size 1000 to 1500 sq.m. The rate of development charges are fixed Rs. 340/- per sq.m. out of 77 nos of plots 76 plots have been allotted.
Urban Haat
With the allotment of 10.5 bighas of land, free of cost, through District Administration for the establishment of Urban Haat at New Pali Road, Jodhpur is all set to make another mark in the changing industrial scenario of the state. The total cost of the project is 2.00 crore which includes a contribution of 1.40 crore from the Central Govt. and the remaining 0.60 crore from the State Govt. The Central Govt. has already sanction the project and project is under implementation. The first phase has been completed and The craft fairs are being organised regularly in the urban haat. Work of second phase is near to completed.
INDUSTRIAL
AREAS / ESTATES
There are 21 Industrial Areas at different places which have been developed and managed by RIICO. The total number of plots available in those Industrial areas are 4782 out of which 4352 have been alloted till 31-03-2009. wool production per sheep per year was 0.937 kg. in 1997-98. in 1994-95. Assuming
the average wool production being 0.900 kg per sheep per year, the total availability
of wool works out to be 10.25 lakhs Kg per year.
AVAILABILITY
OF MEAT
As per the intigrated survey, the average yield of meat per sheep was 8.9 kg.
per animal for goats being 9.3 kg. per animal. The annual slaughter rate was
found to be 20%. On the basis of above assumption, the availability of meat
in the district during a year would be 3648 tonnes.
AVAILABILITY OF HIDES
As per the same survey, assuming
average annual mortality rate being 10%, annual availability of hides would
be 69500 pieces.
AVAILABILITY OF BONES
The annual availability of bones
has been estimated to the tune of 822 tonnes per annum. It has been computed
on the assumption that average availability of bone is 12 kg. per animal.
AVAILABILITY OF MILK
The average collection of milk per day is 4.0 lakh litres. At present there
is one dairy unit having capacity of one lakh litres per day.
